Our Clinic
Welcome to GreenBank Veterinary Clinic.
Greenbank has been in Gatley, South Manchester for more than 20 years and we have recently moved to a much larger custom refitted premises only a few doors down. We moved into Brook House, 2-4 Northenden Road on 5th February 2018.
Greenbank continues to offer cost-effective veterinary treatment for your pets. Discounted rates for vaccination, neutering and dental treatments continue to be offered to all of our clients.
We also offer a wide range of more complex soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures.
We pride ourselves on running an open, affordable, well equipped clinic. Good medicine happens when good communication occurs and at Greenbank we work very hard at being approachable, understandable and compassionate.
Our highly experienced staff together with up to date facilities are able to offer a wide range of services to keep your pet happy and healthy. In the event of a medical emergency, we are equipped to accommodate your pet for further diagnosis and treatment.

We now have our own car park with 24 spaces, 7 ground level consulting rooms and separate dog and cat waiting rooms.
Meet Our Team

Caroline Merry
BVMS MRCVS
Caroline is a Glasgow University Graduate of 1995. After starting work in Birmingham she moved to Greenbank in 1997. She has worked exclusively in small animal practice and has a special interest in dermatology (the treatment of skin disorders).
In 2000 Caroline became a partner in the practice. In her spare time Caroline spends time with her family, a houseful of pets and enjoys tennis and cooking.


Doug Boyle
BVM&S CertSAS MRCVS
Doug graduated from Edinburgh University in 1990. After spending the first five years in mixed practice he made the move into the world of small animal practice.
In 2007, after a two-year study programme he passed the Royal College Certificate of Small animal Surgery. This depth of surgical experience led to Doug becoming a partner in 2011. Outside work he is kept in line by two daughters, two dogs, a cat and and a wife. He also cycles, snowboards, and plays golf.

Riaz Rhemu
BVMedSci BVM BVS MRCVS
Riaz graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2016.
He started his career at the RSPCA in Salford and worked there for three years before joining Greenbank in April 2020.
Riaz has a keen interest in medical cases and as such is studying towards his certificate in
Small Animal Medicine. In his spare time Riaz enjoys visiting the gym and supporting his boyhood football team, Arsenal.

Abbie graduated from The University of Liverpool in June 2017. After some time working at a small animal practice near Leeds, she made the decision to move closer to home and joined Greenbank in August 2018.
Abbie is particularily interested in surgery and enjoys the high surgical caseload at Greenbank.
In her spare time, Abbie enjoys running and exploring Manchester with friends.
Ian qualified from Liverpool University in 2006. He has worked in small animal
practice since with a couple of years doing masters degrees in infectious disease control and a research project on antibiotic resistance in hospitalised pets.
He first came to Greenbank in 2012 as a locum, taking a full time position in 2016.
He is in the early stages of becoming a reserve veterinary officer in the army and has interests in all areas of small animal practice.
Lucy graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2012 and has worked solely in small animal practice since.
She previously worked near Leeds but moved to Greenbank in October 2017.Lucy has recently passed her certificate in surgery which has always been her interest and now looks forward to progressing with more advanced surgeries.
Outside of work she enjoys baking so equally spends a lot of time in the gym to allow for all the calories !

Jessica Munday
BSc (Hons) BVetMed MRCVS
Jess graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2015 with both a BioVeterinary Science and Veterinary Medicine degree. She has been working in small animal general practice since and joined the team at Greenbank in June 2019. Jess is interested in both medicine and surgery and enjoys the wide range of cases she sees at the practice. In her spare time Jess enjoys baking, crocheting and spending time with her friends, family
and cats.

Louise Bebbington
BVsc MRCVS
Louise graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2014. She started her career at a small animal hospital where she enjoyed all aspects of medicine,surgery and in patient care. Louise joined Greenbank in early 2019 to further persue her interest in small animal internal medicine. She has recently received a distinction in her Small Animal Medicine Certificate. In her spare time Louise enjoys running and gardening. She also has a troublesome ginger tabby cat who keeps her busy !

The above prices are for teeth cleaning only and include the anaesthetic fee. The extraction of a tooth is a surgical procedure. A surgical dental will have general anaesthetic and extraction fees applied. Medication is also chargeable. An estimate of cost for a surgical dental can be obtained during a free dental check appointment with one of our veterinary surgeons. Please telephone for an appointment.
